The Alumni Diversity Council for the Division of University Relations Cordially invites you to attend a performance of Step Afrika! to benefit the Divine Nine Emergency Tuition Assistance Fund. As the first professional company dedicated to stepping, an art form created in African American fraternities and based in African traditions, Step Afrika! Pounds the floor and fills the air with intricate kicks, stomps and rhythms mixed with spoken word.

9:30 p.m. Private Dessert Reception Step Afrika

Join us after the performance for a talk back with the artists. Then, meet the founder of Step Afrika! during a private dessert reception in the Upper Pavilion of the Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center.  All tickets will be reserved by the Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center and available the night of the performance in the ticket office under the name of the patron who ordered the ticket. *A portion of the ticket fee will benefit the Divine Nine Emergency Tuition Assistance Fund. Established, in 2009, under the University of Maryland College Park Foundation as a 501(c)(3) current-use fund by UMCP alumni who are members of the nine Greek-letter organizations affiliated with the National Pan-Hellenic Council, Inc. (NPHC). Its purpose is to provide emergency tuition assistance to eligible undergraduate students enrolled at the University of Maryland at College Park who are members of NPHC affiliated organizations and experience unexpected financial need, which they are unable to meet with available financial resources.

**The fair market value represents the prices of the ticket at the group rate. A tax deductible contribution of $20 will be remitted to the Divine Nine Tuition Assistance Fund.
